Concorde Hotel - Malaysia / Kuala Lumpur

2mins away from the train station, Concorde Hotel stands 10mins away from the twin tower (walking distance).

The view at night was awesome. Although i could not see if from my hotel room, but a short walk to 7-11 provided me the panaromic view.

The towers really look impressive, i must say it looked better than in the day.

Hotel: Concorde Hotel
Star: 4
Feels like: 4

Pros:

USD$130 per night for Room, Internet, Breakfast + All surcharges & Taxes.
There are 2 sections to the hotel, a standard tower and a premier tower.
Lucky me am staying in the premier wing.

If you stay over for 3 nights, you get a free one way airport transfer, so you choose either to arrive at the hotel in the limousine or to get back to the airport from the hotel.

I came in via their free transfer. Extremely good co-ordination. The limousine stopped in front of the lobby and a lady came over to welcome me, saying my name and bringing me into the lounge to do my check in. I was like "wow".

I sat down, pass her my passport and credit card and was offered a drink by lady no.2.
I asked for coke and came my coke with some cookies. Wow wow. Am i a "Sua Ku" or am i missing out in life?!

The lounge was meant for premier wing users. A little room, not that big, with a huge TV and a large fridge with canned drinks more then you every imagine.
It's all free.
Oh yes, cookies too. It's like a mini party.

The room was well partitioned. Quite big i must say and it comes with partitioning of the changing area and toilet from the main bedroom.
3nights will also come with one massage session! Have you even heard of that?! 60mins Thai Massage. Free!

The price if you were to pay is RM90.00 per session.

As mentioned, the train station was a short walk away and you can grab the train over to Sungei Wang or Lot 10 for your shopping & dining pleasure.

Cons:

However i must say i hate the lighting structure.
It's difficult to go switch off lights when you intend to sleep, although there is a master switch right beside the bed to turn everything on.

But for me, i prefer to leave one light on. So i have to go around switch off lights before i sleep.

Breakfast is also not so nice. For me.

It's a premier breakfast area yes, but it's quite limited compared to the normal buffet downstairs. But the crowd is small. So you get peace while having breakfast and you could order any sort of coffee from long black to the british classic coffee where they serve you in those special cups, i don't even know whats that called.

I simply ordered Milo.

The breakfast i guess is the downside.

Aircon in the room is also either too cold, or too warm. Problem with the thermostat. I presume only in my room.

INTERNET WAS NON EXISTANCE! IT'S SO SLOW!
I cannot imagine this standard of internet. It's crawling!

I rate it 6.8 out of 10 simply for the slow internet which made me sleep later as i had problem downloading & sending emails!

But for fun and leisure, it sure is the place i want to be at.

Grande Centre Point Hotel - Thailand/Bangkok

Really a service aparment cum hotel, Centre Point is nicely tucked away in a corner off Ratchadamri Road.
5 mins walk away from the famous 4 face buddha temple. A good indication of it's great central location.

Hotel: Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri Hotel
Star: 4
Feels like: 4.5

Pros:

I paid USD$100 per night for Room, Internet, Breakfast + All surcharges & Taxes.
The hotel paid special attention to arriving guest, a welcome drink is nothing special, but coming in from the Airport where air is fresh and clean to the city of Bangkok where everything is in a "organised mess" with the air, not so welcoming. So yes, the citrus flavoured juice did wake me up a little and was pleasant.

As this is my first stay in the hotel, they asked me to fill up a form (reads: long detailied form of particulars), but i was spared the chore with a friendly conciege lady that only needed my namecard as she volunteered her service.

The room was a surprise! Full glass window unfolds as i push aside the wooden folding windows. The view i had was great. Overlooking a golf course and a swimming pool.
It came with a little kitchen too (being a service apartment), couple with washing machine, coffee maker and a regular family size fridge.

Internet came free (as a package) and it was uber fast. The login page auto saved my password and i have zero problem with the net nor VPN.

Every morning it comes with international papers and a fruit platter. How sweet for the fruit platter.

You get unlimited coffee, tea, water, juice at the reception and it's really "Free Flow".
If you have friends in Thailand, you can sit and relax in the lobby, have a cup of coffe or two and just chat.

Level 7 of the hotel comes with a huge play room. Rubber mat, full of toys, steralized and wiped clean everynight for your kids to play in while you relax in the library just opposite the playroom watching TV or reading a book yet, still in full view of your kids playing, minus the noise and scream cut off by the two doors.

Gym and swimming pool are nothing to shout about.

Cons:

Maybe because it is a service apartment? The lobby and main walkways are in hard finishes. Ceramic / Homogenous tiles.

No carpet finish, thus a hard feel. When you walk down the walkway, your footsteps echoes and it gets pretty unpleasant if you are sleeping in the room, although not that loud.

The convinent store also closes early and if you need anything, it's 5mins walk away to the main shopping area. Not that far, but it'll be great if the store close later.
That's about it.

Every other thing about this experience was positive!

Upon check out, they even checked my room and picked up my adapter for me, quite nice of them, but they are probably checking if i took anything from the minibar.

A really good place to stay, for work and for play.
Quite a self contained hotel.

I rate it 8 out of 10.
Sweet

Money

My Money Plant in the office.
I'll water it everyday and make it grow. In fact i felt it grew a little bit these few days.

Happy Birthday Mummy!

A small birthday cake

Just a small cake for my Mum. Today's her birthday.
A birthday song from little SiangSiang is enough to make her happy.

Mum really don't like fancy birthday cakes and celebrations. But we try to get her a little present and bring her to dinner. It's just part of the fun.

Happy Birthday Mummy!

I know

Yes, i know the background image of my blog is unattractive.

Mrs Neo ordered me to change it. Saying it's too plain. Looks like it's nothing.
I will do it over this weekend!

I felt it was too plain too.
Let me think about it.

Kite Flying - Pictures

The sky was littered with hundreds of kites, of all sizes.
*No, those are not tiny dirt specks. All that you see are kites in the air, all sizes
I should consider loading the Hi-Res.

I love this picture of my nephew.
Cute, beyond words.

Little outing

Mrs Neo, Mum & myself went to meet my sister and her family, again.

We have been seeing each other almost every week.
My niece & newphew seems to like us alot too.

We went kite flying at Sengkang again, this time with around hmm slightly over 50kites in the air? Not the largest amount i've seen. I took some nice photos and will upload them in another post soon.

Kite flying lasted until 6pm. Where we transited into the all time "feed the frantic fishes" at Sengkang's new park.

Wedding Bells

37days and counting down.

Amidst the melon flavored Vitasoy & Citizen Calculator, an wedding invitation card.

Felicia, my ex-carpet-carrying-colleague is getting married in 37days.

She gladly took great efforts to take MC (which i presume she's enjoying) and came pass us the invites today.

The six of us, had a quick pasta lunch and was hand delivered the card.

The Singapore Marriot Hotel Invite

Nicely handtied champange-colored chiffon ribbons screams her excitement and efforts to make the day an eventful and memorable one.

Myself and a few other colleagues do find it amazing that she did not exceed the number of photographs allocated for her album.

We didn't believe it.

Mrs Neo & myself took a lot more and of course paid an amount for them. But i never looked so "wow is that me" in my life, so i guess it's worth it?

Anyway, no sneak preview of the pictures from the bride and we'll have to wait till the day itself, together with all the colleagues, now, ex, new, old colleagues.

blogspot

We wanted to do this when we knew we were planning for pregnancy.

To allow out kids to have a blog from young, to cultivate writing habit,
I actually wanted to start a blog for them with their names.

*We did not know it was a Twins then*

Something like: ThomasOrStefanie.BlogSpot.Com
Then write all about the pregnancy until birth then if it's a boy, it's Thomas, girl, it's Stefanie.

Heehee, while we now know that it's Twins, we could have done the
Example: ThomasAndAdam.BlogSpot.com

But end up we did not, but chose to key everything in here.

But it's a nice idea. Someone should try it. Someday

ABCs

Today Mrs Neo ask me to teach our babies the ABC.

I started singing the "ABC" Song, but she says no!
Supposed to teach the representation of ABC.

So i taught the following and got a beating through the session

A is for Ang Mo
B is for Banana
C is for Cat
D is for Log - Later corrected to Daddy
E is for Enormous
F is for Fish
G is for Girl
H is for Hantum
I is for Ice Cream
J is for Jolin
K is for Kangaroo
L is for Liu Lian
M is for Mummy
N is for Nothing
O is for Oval
P is for Pak Tor
Q is for Queen - Mummy is the Queen
R is for Lambutan
S is for Singapore
T is for Tomorrow
U is for Ummm
V is for Victory
W is for Whatever
X is for X-Ray
Y is for Yellow
Z is for Zoo

Now i know my ABCs, next time won't you sing with me.

Say what you feel

Irresponsible!

I cannot believe you are telling me this!
Seriously, you are in the management level and you are already in your 40s. How can those words come out of your mouth?

Even your junior is doing it for you and you want to leave it alone and hope that i will do it for you? - Simply because you tell me you do until "pek cek".

What? This is the first time you are doing it?

So what?!

This is not a school! We don't teach you everything you know.

And if you seriously want to learn, stand beside me and watch me do it. Walking away from your job simply says "i really don't care".

Different project require different selling tactic and i am in no right to restrict your creativity and selling proposition and why should i do it for you?
You need help you ask nicely. Not whine and complaint lor...

Do you think you will learn simply because i do this first one for you? Think about it, you are throwing it all away, slapping the papers on the table and groaning and groaning and groaning, but simply not trying to work it out and try. Is this behavior acceptable at all?

Will all that whining complete the job on hand?
Please stop telling me you are at it for 3hours and you think i can do it in less then an hour.
You collected the brief a week ago and started only today with the submission on Thurs.
If you know you are inexperience in this, then start early la.

Huh what?
Yes, it's 5.30pm.
SO?

You still have another 6hrs 30mins before midnight what.
Your boss ask u to complete by today right? 6hrs 30mins should be enough dio bo?

Still wanna pull me one side to tell me your grivences.
靠! 靠! 靠!
Whiner!

I have no time to listen to you groan la. I have tons of things to do, so please, please don't bug me.

How to tell you all these leh, i'm 29. You're 42 or something.
Dun play this type of pattern leh.

Somemore need help come to me so late.
I must go pick up Mrs Neo from work leh. Wait i late how?!

靠.

Feng Shui Seat

Today i moved to a new seat, after a Feng Shui selection out of 3 available slots.

The same office, but this corner here seems so different.
The aircon is stronger (a seperate unit rather then the central aircon), the air is however, stagnant.

The pressure is intense to a limit i felt encapsulated.

Even with my earphones on, music of Kenny G filling my head, it just felt so different.
It's really a kind of stress i cannot explain.
Maybe sitting close to the boss is never a positive experience. Honestly i cannot see him. But it just felt so "Yeeee"

I MSN-ed Mrs Neo and told her about it.

We concluded how i felt.

It's like sitting in a principal's room, doing my homework.
