Level 8, 16th August 2009

My block, standing at Level 8 on 16th August 2009.
Grown so tall already.

Can't wait.

Sneak Preview

I wonder how this fellow got the pictures, my guess is that he's the main contractor or some sub contractor working on the project.

But, it's a sneak peak at how my flat is going to look like!

The Living Room is really quite small

Level 2

Latest Development on my block. The floor area does not look so big.
Well, it's never big anyway.

2011 4th Quarter is the latest date.
I wonder why they always change the date.

Concrete Evidence

Finally, it's up and running top gear "i hope".

Piling works for some blocks are done, although mine's not up yet. But it's a good start.
From what i foresee, the next block that will be constructed will be my block!

Yippie! Time really pass. It's s 2007 project. Although it's the start of 2009 only, but as we watch it stack higher and higher, i believe the day we move in will be sooner then i can imagine.

Time to start saving some cold hard cash.

Strong Foundation, Safe Homes

The slabs are in, the foundation crane is on site.
Yippie, looks like they are going to start piling soon.

Houses nowadays are like toys, build on moulds and cast of different shapes.
That explains why new flats tends to have "crack" lines running here and there. No major issues, but as the building age, the cubes, sort of like lego, starts to show it's shape.

This is so unlike older flats, which was really build brick by brick. Well that aside, 4 months into contruction, they have finally started the major ops, i wonder how long piling will take. I do hope to see them do it well and firm rather then a speedy one on this point.

Sengkang here i come!

Some development pictures, concrete slabs, foundation piling machines and a future home in place.

1 Full Year Cycle

1 Full cycle, 367.4days had passed since my new estate "Coral Spring" first launch.

19th September 2007.

Today, 21st September 2008 (Yeah a few days late) we see the load testing being done, tower cranes, site offices and all the green green grass which kids uses to play soccer on is now officially full steam under construction.

It won't be done in another 2years+, coming 3. But i guess Mrs Neo & myself is ever excited over it. Everyday is a day closer to a place that will be our new home.

Buying the flat was like a milestone for us. A humble 4room, yet it's a stage of life, most Singaporean goes through. So i guess up next will be to have a baby and i guess our life is "completed", or should i say blessed.

Some of the latest developments to date.

In the neighbourhood

In the (new) neighbourhood...

Not having time to be online for a while now and thus no frequent visit to some forums,
finally found time today to surf my http://www.sengkang.com/.

Wah seh.. still buzzling with activity. New neighbours popping up every other day.

As i read on, the photo updates, the discussions on layouts, i came across a unique discussion..
They are starting a "Entertainment Group", they even appointed a IC.
Hahaha..

And guess what's the first kick off, ice-breaking, get to know each other event?
Visit the site and then head off to Jalan Kayu to have prata.

Ahahahah. My neighbours... Looks like i'm in for extreme fun.

A small step for human, a leap for mankind

Fencing up the entire work site, with a mixer driving around

Top view overlooking other development projects (Fernvale Vista)

Some unidentified items lying around

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! They are blocking up the plot of land!

Nobody can play football at my neighbourhood already! According to statistics, they will be able to complete the project in 2.5years upon starting on the job site.

Every process is so intresting. I simply cannot express the joy, but to say i am thrilled to see developments. To witness the process of building up my future home is priceless.

Of course if i can witness the process of builing my semi-D will be better, but HDB will do for now.

Some Developments at Last!

As soon as i heard that they are setting up site office on the plot of land to be built,
i went down to record the development.

The findings are in the picture below.

Yups, it's just a container acting as a site office and one small crane, which i believe is to be used to dig some small potholes for the signboards and other small works.

But now that they are doing something really means a lot to us.
We heard that HDB can build flat up in 3years (no hiccups). So we are eager to get our flats in 2010. Little development for now, but it's a start!

And today! We went to recce the neighbourhood. And took a signature picture of the LRT.

I hope the next time would have more developments!

Small shareholder

HDB is really effiecient. They promised me a 11am appointment today and when i went there today, took a number and it was like 80 more numbers before my number.

Yet surprisingly, or maybe not surprisingly, at 10.56am, they flashed my queue number. Sweet! That's what appointment are for right.

So did the paperwork... Guess i will remember this day for a while. So happy to know a new house is coming.

The first 5% of the house (which is what we paid today) was paid by my wife via her cpf. Which makes her the big share holder now.

Now i am a "xiao gu dong".

Agreement For Lease

The much awaited moment have arrived.

Finally recieved the much awaited letter from HDB for a appointment this coming Saturday. To sign the option to purchase and also to pay the first staggered 5%.

It's still feels amazing. To finally go close to owning a personal home. To stay with the people i love for many good years.

Coral Spring. My Home.
