Day -1

Finally it's a day before take off!

Heehee... Yet there's still a lot more things yet to be packed and lots more left to be brought.
It's kinda last minute. I usually like to pack up everything in advance.

I wonder why this time i am really leaving it till the last minute.
It's 16hours to take off! Yippie!

---

Being on leave today, i gladly send Mrs Neo to work, her last day of work in 2008.
(I did mine last Wednesday, heehee.)
Since my nephew was here, so i brought them all along to send Mrs Neo to work followed by a short outing on boxing day.

Some tell tale pics.

Siang Siang beside the runway. Well i didn't manage to take the big aeroplane in the background, but you can see some small ones. We did see 3 big ones taking off while we were there... Very big.. very close also. Heehee

Then we went to IKEA @ Tampines (The lady in red is my sister's domestic helper)
We had a little breakfast there which was relatively cheap.
Of course i did buy Mrs Neo a MacDonalds breakfast for takeaway before dropping her off at her office.

And he love the headlights.

Also love the crocodile and a lot of other stuffed toys.

VW

Pics from Volkswagen website

The Volkswagen Golf TSI (1.4), boasting of a 0-100km/hr in 9.4secs and being able to cough out the power of a 2.5 from it's engine seems enough to make any potential buyer fall over.
Not to mention it's over 13km/litre fuel consumption.

Such a tempting hatchback, although hatchback is not always on my list of to-buy.

But this wonder, bearing the proud VW badge does seems to promise a road full of them zipping around. The interior also looks superb. However, i personally feel, it can be done better with more wooden panels for more comfort and class.

Well, maybe they are going for extreme sporty look. Who knows?
And who cares, when it's that fast!?

But still, i personally prefers a SUV.

Counting Down

As usual, the usually happy me starts to count down to Holiday again.

It's 2 working days left and all holiday for me till end of the year.
Basically till 5th Jan 2009 before i even go back to work! WooHoO!

6 more days and i'll be in Macua at this moment. In a hotel which i presume and hope will be decent and comfortable.
7Days to HongKong DisneyLand where i target myself to take at least 1,000 pictures on the day itself.

Ohh i really cannot wait any longer.

Today we had had dinner over at the Airport and brought the kids around to take some pictures.
Heehee.. don't they all love the airport. It was all so well decorated with Christmas Trees and all sorts of candy houses. I love it as an adult, so it's not hard to imagine how the kids feel.

Their theme seems to be Disney Characters this year.
Think can win a trip to Tokyo Disneyland if you are lucky enough.

Woohooooo! It's Christmas Week!

The Legend

The Legendary Nikon (Model No.ML-L3) Remote Controller.

I believe it works on infra-red with the foriegn language "Infrarot-Fernbedienung" printed on the box as what i base on.
It cost me a mere $20 and is ready to run.
A simple switch of modes on the camera and it clicks at a press of the remote.

I would say these camera makers think of everything.

Now i can take picture of the disney castle with Mrs Neo & myself in the picture all by myself!

Trashing It

This is the 3th time the blue screen appeared after i start using this new laptop for (i think) a month.

I was not doing anything exceptional nor running alot of program at one time. First time it hang was like on the 3rd day.

Nothing is perfect la.

我忍!

6working days to my break!

A happy morning, packed full of vibe and energy.
But it ended in grudges and anger. I wonder how come she like to arrow me with all the shit jobs? So childish leh.

Doesn't mean she's in a bad mood, people have to entertain her what. Work is work, your life is your life. If you cannot seperate this two things, then don't come to work and sort out your life first. Don't come here and grumble, mumble and throw your weight around.

I seriously HATE ppl who mumble. Want to complaint about something? Then say it out. People cannot hear low frequency voices. So when one mumble, it just irritates the other parties eardrum. Like a housefly flying around. And it is also a very childish and disgusting method of expressing yourself.

But guess what? I don't care, cause you can do whatever your tiny brains feel like doing and i will not bother as i am going on my leave soon!

Nothing is going to change that fact and if you think you can spoilt my mood, that just because you are jealous of me and you know that you will be in for deep shit when you have to do all those things yourself.

HA! But i seriously don't care.

Too bad lor.

6days! Yes!

The Biggest Moon

Driving to pick up Mrs Neo this evening, i can't help but notice how big the moon is today.
By right, it's all a visual effect on the eye.

I saw a documentary about the moon on Discovery. The moon is as big as ever, ever though it might look bigger when it first appears and then smaller when it's halfway up in the sky. But that's simply because up in the sky, there's no buildings for our eyes to compare the size with. So if you were to use your the eraser at the end of a pencil, strectch out your hand and measure the moon using that when it first appear and when it's up in the sky.

It's the same size.

---

Well, that doesn't really matter to most of us, as long as the moon remains in the sky for most of our days. (But it's really moving away from Earth, again, won't happen in my time and the Sun will stop buring before the Moon, so really not a concern to me)

Picking up Mrs Neo & driving home, we talked about how big and bright the moon is as today's the 15th of the chinese lunar month. Then she got an Sms from Darren which she read to me.
I can't remember the full content of it, but i only remember "The biggest Moon".

Thus, here it is! The best 2shots.
i took 10shots, held my breath like mad due to the low lights and the shutter took damn long to close. A tripod will be handy, but i used the army way of breath in, breath out halfway, aim, shoot.

I was a marksman ok.

Messed up day

Big projects are good to have, but never easy to handle.
Today marks the day of this year's biggest project's kick off.

As expected, it's full of hiccups.
Even a simple delivery of material is full of heat.

---
Phone conversation with project manager.

Mr Neo: Hello "Irritating Guy", Can you help my guys sign the delivery order?
Irritating Guy: No, i will not sign.
Mr Neo: Why not? Your boss instruct that all must sign.

Mr Neo: I will not even install for you in the first place! Tomorrow i get my guys to move all the materials out of your site! Install? You must be dreaming! Sign DO also so hard already. You think i will install for you!?
Irritating Guy: Ok lor.
Mr Neo: Great. Thanks. Bye.

---

Irritating Guy's Boss calls me..

Boss: Mr Neo, what's the problem?
Mr Neo: Your friend don't want to sign my Delivery Order
"blah blah blah.. tells story"
Boss: So now how?
Mr Neo: Just sign the Delivery Order la.
Boss: Okay i tell him

My Boss: Mr Neo, Irritating Guy's Boss call me.
"Narbei... canot settle call my boss... useless freak!"
Mr Neo: Ya. Wassup
My Boss: He say ask our guys come back tomorrow, he will sign himself.
Mr Neo: Ok man, whatever you say.
My Boss: He say there's some arguement?

My Boss: Well, he have his point ... blah blah blah (I not listening)
Mr Neo: Well, whatever, as long as he signs tomorrow.

Singapore Zoological Garden

9am in the morning and we were at the Zoo on a bright sunny sunday morning. Long weekends are just great. I can't imagine myself at the Zoo if it's a regular weekend.

My sister had free tickets to the Zoo with compliment from her company and so we were there with her to bring our nephew to check out the kangaroos & giraffes (But we did't see any giraffes).

I guess the best things about Zoo other then the animals is the big open space and the variety of animal shows that try to educate childrens as they grow up.

And here's a picture of the infamous Snow White Tiger, is he the killer in the recent accident?

I love my new camera. :D

2nd Anniversary Belated Present, 2008 Xmas Early Present

Yesss!!

Finally i found a watch that i liked. I must say it's not really a belated anniversary present as i am really fussy and as much as we (Mrs Neo & myself) tried to get a watch, i was unable to shortlist anything.

My basic requirements as as simple as follows;
1) Analog round face
2) Chorograph would be a plus
3) Black rubber strap only

But we finally spotted one, with the help of a friendly sales person. I bet he didn't think i was serious about buying anything looking at my facial expression and the typical, can i see this piece please questions. But after shortlisting from i think 6pieces and standing in the shop for 1hour, he began slapping on discounts as he must have felt that he was close to closing a deal.

And he did.

"The box, with scratches."

" Hook is rather special, it's realli a typical clip on and not those with hooks and loops,
although it look like that"

" Black rubber strap, don't really like to have the brand there.
Looks like a fake. But shop says there's no way to change."

$1 ?

I came across a brain flexer today.

Goes like this.

A, B & C went for dinner together and decided to go dutch.
The bill came and it was $25.

So each came out with $10 and paid the bill.
($10 x 3pax = $30).

The waiter came back with 5 x $1 as the change. ($30 - $25 = $5).

A,B & C each took back $1 and gave the waiter the $2 left for his superb service.

Therefore, A, B & C each gave $10 at first, but took back $1.
Thus $10 - $1 = $9.

A, B & C thus paid $9 each.
$9 x 3pax +$2(tip) = $29/-

Where is the missing dollar?
Amazing?

---
Yes, i have the answer!
Hahaha

Congratulations!

Congratulations guys!
And i'm not kidding on the time ok. Haha

一路走来,十一月二十八日

Finally, it happened yesterday. A extremely long awaited, detailed plan was finally executed.
I personally have never seen a proposal of such "scale", making those local gigs of lighting candles in the the middle of the night with "I Love You" at gf's carpark to propose seems utterly lame.

Leo's proposal was a scale that involved 2 countries, across countries borders.
A conspiracy that (we were glad) worked.

"This ring, Shuben will like anot?" - be sure with ipod touch.

"The Meyson Proposal ring that meant all." - Shortlisted after view around 15versions from all over Singapore. 好用心。 The paying part was quite tough thou'

So here's the bouquet that stands out from the lot. Have to help him buy as he's still acting "i don't know what happening"

And he reserved the whole resturant.

Hide out still have CCTV.
See here they come

Well skip the dinner part.
Here comes the Rocker!
Woooo!

The Love Song for her

The touched lady

The moment of truth,
Flowers, Rings, Watch.
Everything he had, he gave without thinking.

Shuben paused for a while thou'
Haha. She froze.

Marry me.

Success! 318hours of planning,
One moment of joy.

Today i saw the ideal bridal car for them. Rock Star Version.

一碗肉骨茶 一世巴生情

巴生肉骨茶.

Tested and proven.
I must say it's one of the BEST Ba Kut Teh i ever had.

I used to think that the one at Johor was good.
Haha, boy was i wrong.

Honestly i did not think that i will remember the taste at all.
It really taste good when you are having it. But i forgot the taste and feeling around 24hrs after i had it.

But strangely, weeks after, it started coming back.

I was reading a blog and chance upon the picture of the Klang Ba Kut Teh.
Wah seh. It's exactly how it looked like when i ate it!

Best of all, they even have a website!

Fierce. 好想吃.

730Days Wedding Anniversary

Yeah. Some would call it the 2nd Year Anniversary.

Well. That's the day, today!

Planning to have dinner together after work today, Mrs Neo told me "See you later in the evening" at the void deck while i kissed her and left for work.

Hmm... seems like things didn't really go the way we wanted it to.
i knocked off at around 7pm after finishing some last minute paperwork.
Mrs Neo said she had to work overtime (again). So there goes everything.
Seriously we did not plan to have candlelight dinner at some fancy resturant, just some place for dinner. I was thinking of the Airport, where there's a wide variety to choose from.

But here's what dinner was in the end.

Mr Neo had "Jup Cai Peng / Mixed Vegetable Rice - Vegetables fried with meat, Scrambled Eggs & Fried Chicken" @7.45pm.

Mrs Neo had "Some soup i da bao for her + Chocolate McFlurry" @11pm.

And we shared a fillet-o-fish meal.

Still happy though.
Happy 2nd Anniversary Darling.

22nd November - Sunny, Happy Day

Today marks the day where i launch myself into a new hobby.
Digital Photography! Yess! I brought my first dSLR - The Nikon D90.

I really have been thinking about this for coming 2 months now and after yesterdays' hiccup, i went down to the shop again and paid for it, not collected yet though as it's really out of stock but i wanted to lock in the price and get the $50 voucher which offers only stands till Sunday. So it's really like paying up and not getting anything.

Here's what i got myself with all the accessories & freebies:
- Nikon D90 Kit ( VR 18 - 105mm Lens )
- 1 x UV Lens Filter
- 1 x 4GB, 1 x 2GB SD Card
- 1 x Lowepro Rezo 140 Bag (Fits one additional lens)
- 1 x Lowepro Rezo 170 Bag (Fits two additional lens)

- 1 x LCD Screen Protector
- 1 x Lens Cleaning Kit
- 1 x 2year extended warranty (Total = 3years warranty)
- 1 x Harvey Norman Umbrella
- 1 x dry cabinet/box (Pending)

I was telling myself this will be my anniversary present cum christmas present as it's quite an amount. So no more buying of anything expensive for a while now. Heehee.

Of course with my wedding anniversay around the corner, i brought Mr Neo her anniversary present today for being such a princess for all these time.

I bet she's pretty happy, delighted, elated and thrilled by the present.
Awaiting more happy years to come, it's a happy day today.

哇靠!靠靠靠!

I went with Mrs Neo & MinTat to Raffles City after work today.

Salesman: "Sorry, D90 is out of stock."
Mr Neo: -_-"

On Air

Finally found a small radio which meets my requirement. I've been finding this for the longest time, 1st it must not be those stupid scanning system, must only run on AA batteries and not AAA. I got this for $19 at Leisure Park.

Mrs Neo and myself was there just now to play arcade..
Yeah, wacking the machines, we found a new game where u throw balls at mosquitos or bandits, it's really fun, but it cost $2.00 for 3 stages. A stress buster.

Seriously i felt better after that.
Reaching Leisure Park only around 8.30pm.
Yups it after work, 11 - 12hours work seems so normal for us. It's totally crazy i feel.

Don't think about it! Weekend is coming... Don't, don't think about it.
Don't think.

A stationary parade

Looks like a batch of white something in the picture right?
Well it's actually a whole lot of white Toyota vehicals, from cars to vans. Took the picture from one of my project site this afternoon in PSA Vista.
All White! And there's a lot of vehicals. Seperated by models.

A decade of friendship

Today marks the day i know Mrs Neo for a decade, together for 4 years, married for 2years (in 7days time - 25th Nov '09).

Listening to Gold 90.5FM now over the web, i can't help to feel happy with all the lovely dovey songs it's playing.

Wedding - How To's

Today's Johnathon & Beeling's big day, so is for my Aunt's Daughter and one of my neighbour.
Not to mention the 2 x Malay Wedding going on in the neighbourhood.

Seems like a good date today for all races. As i watch the bridal car come fetch my neighbour, from my unit, the convoy starts to form, the entourages from the groom and the bride starts to chit chat while the blissful pair enter the car due to the huge can-can that slows things down.

Having gone through my own wedding, it seems so fun watching people get married. I can nearly imagine what they should be thinking about at those moment when the groom does some specific actions.

Today, to make it sum up, i decided to post (From the groom's point of view).

Top 10 things to make the "Pick up the Bride" session memorable.

1) Have a group of more then 10 entourages to pick up the Bride. Get them to wear a similar color theme. Full suit would look great!
2) Have a huge car convoy, personally prefers 10 + 1 bridal car. Ideal to have walkie talkies.
3) Make sure no car in the covoy looks more "eye catching" then the bridal car. Best to get a 6door Limo/SLK/Ferrari and the rest be white color sedan. Same model would be outstanding!
4) Make sure the bridal store gives you enough car deco for all in the convoy and make sure it's not just some simple 3loop ribbion. Ensure they give big big plush ribbons with mesh to match.
5) Have entourages that fear no dares and goes all out for you. Choose your men properly.
6) Have the bride's entourages to be people you don't know (quite hard), so they will not go all out to slam the door on your face.
7) Prepare a lot of angbaos with no money or cash value.
8) Take your time as the entourages gate crash. Do nothing, sit back, relax.
9) Appoint a entourage to do all the negotiation and talking.
10) Have a great photographer & videographer.

Point No. 1 - Have a huge group of entourage

Point No.5 - Choose your men properly, only the brave.

Point No. 6 - It's really hard to have entourage from the Bride side to be people you don't know.
Anyway, to do big things, some men have to sacrifice. Refer to Point 5 many times through out the gate crash.
(Keyword: "Brave Men")

Point No.7 - Give anything, but money.

Point No.8 - Do nothing, sit back, relax

Point No. 9 - Have a champion negotiator

Less Light

As "winter" approach, even Singapore seems affected.
Night seems to fall earlier then usual. At 6.30pm near my area, it's dark already.
Street lights are not even on yet as they are always set to power up at 7pm.

As my mum always say, at times like this "the slow housewife will never have enough time to complete her housework".

Haha, a funny illustration, but true to some sense.

Wagging his tail

Everytime it rains and i drive behind a hatchback car, especially like Swift, Cooper, Kelisa, Picanto & such which have this rear wiper. (Note: I have no prejudice against them, i am stating them in names for the type i am describing only).

It always brings a smile to my face. Cause it looks like a little dog wagging his tail.
Very cute when it swipe the rear windscreen. Haha.

Recession & Me

10th November '08. Rainy.

It's a slow wet morning. I've heard alot of people asking me last week if the market is slowing down on my end. I told them nothing as yet. But a lot of projects are on hold.

This morning i went to work as usual. A busy morning clearing up the paper week that i left last week. It's been a long time since i felt free... and today, in the afternoon, i was free. My mobile rang less then 10times today, a sharp drop from the 50 - 60 a day status. Out of the 10, only 4 are projects enquiry. Others are simply just some minor issues.

I went to a few design firms in the late afternoon. They were packing up their libraries, hanging around, doing some minor things and all told me "Yeah, it's quiet", "Ohh, that's on hold"... "No, no news from client yet".

Typical answers i get. That would mean less sales for me and more importantly, a harder fight for share in the market, where all will be going for those few projects and diving in head first with ridiculous pricings to bring in volume instead of margins.

I wonder how long it takes to recover. 1 year?
Can it recover faster anot? How about like next Feb? When my new fiscal year starts?
Heehee, i can afford to rest this year, but next year leh?

Really demoralising period of time. I hope i can ride the tides of recession well.

Signed,
Mr Electronic Neo

Finally i realised..

Always on a higher resolution, it's only today that i realise that Mrs Neo is on 1024 x 768.

Thus this picture always seems "cut".
Shall move it here for now.

For today, i spend close to 2hours 30mins optimizing the images on my blog to fit into 1024 x 768. I had to change the background image 8times, the title 7times. Well, now it looks funny on my current resolution. But it's going to look well on Mrs Neo's, so well. That will do it.

Steamboat dinner today!

Bitter StickGal

http://stickgal.blogspot.com

Really cool. Talented lady.
Draws well and thus express herself very much with those cartoons.

I will enjoy reading her entries.

Can I ?

Skipping the steamboat dinner with the "quitties" today, or i should say postphoning it instead.
So many people could not turn up last minute that it doesn't make sense to catch up.

Therefore instead i decided to date Mrs Neo out for dinner as i guess it's really quite long since we "pak tor" on our own. Leaving office at 6pm sharp, i went over to fetch Mrs Neo from her office and head to Bedok North for dinner.

Midway, she asked me.

Mrs Neo: "Can i punch you?"
Mr Neo: "Yeah, sure. Go ahead"
*Tightens up my left hand to brace myself for the punch.
Mrs Neo: "No, i want to punch your face."
Mr Neo: "Ohh wow"

We had chicken chop, mee sua, honeydew juice, ice cream soda and ice kachang.
Yeah, she didn't punch me la. Haha but kept pinching my cheeks though. Very pain.

Strong Foundation, Safe Homes

The slabs are in, the foundation crane is on site.
Yippie, looks like they are going to start piling soon.

Houses nowadays are like toys, build on moulds and cast of different shapes.
That explains why new flats tends to have "crack" lines running here and there. No major issues, but as the building age, the cubes, sort of like lego, starts to show it's shape.

This is so unlike older flats, which was really build brick by brick. Well that aside, 4 months into contruction, they have finally started the major ops, i wonder how long piling will take. I do hope to see them do it well and firm rather then a speedy one on this point.

Sengkang here i come!

Some development pictures, concrete slabs, foundation piling machines and a future home in place.

Digital Single Len Reflex

The Digital SLR, or DSLR (http://wahkaus.blogspot.com/2008/10/nikon-d90.html)

Hmm. it's really bugging me. I've been considering to buy it or not for coming 3weeks now.
I even checked out the prices, the cheapest i could find was $1,680 for the Nikon D90. This price i can get 4 pairs of my favourite Oakleys!

Today i started reading up on dry cabinets and also lens. A good guide i found at
http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=245883.
The more i read, the more i wonder if i should buy. I always love photography, i like to shoot stuffs and keep everything as memory. That's why i wanted a DSLR.

However, tonight i pondered about it. Do i really want to commit myself into it? It's a "on-going" hobby which will require a lot of time, commitment (make sure the lens does not grow fungus) and of course money.

I can probably work around the starter kit pricing, but what if i regret?!
That's the question that keeps bubbling in my mind.

Aiyah, honestly, before i buy anything i will consider and consider and consider and research and research. That's so me. I'm in this situation so many times, yet this time, i am determined not to make a mistake.

To keep things safe, i've decided to shelf it. Not to search anymore of such articles, not to visit any such shops and let myself calm down over the excitement to get a new "toy".

And i will come back to this just before i leave for Macau.

Tug-Of-War

Tug-Of-War (Blanket Edition)

I did not realise this, but every night i'm playing tug-of-war with Mrs Neo.
I like to turn on the aircon and fan all together, to make the room cold quickly.

Then e cover up the blanket and she likes roll to her right, i like to roll to my left so naturally.

And it ends up in a tug-of-blanket.
My tactic is the roll the blanket under my body, so that my body weight will not allow her to tug it back.

Her's of course is the best, she screams at me!

Most of the time i lose the blanket, gets very cold and fall sleep.

Charge me up!

Mrs Neo: Orhh you don't want to listen to me ah?
Mr Neo: Then what can you do?

*Hand movement by Mrs Neo, 10 fingers open and close imitating a star twinkle*

Mrs Neo: I charge your battery want?
Mr Neo: AHahahah! No want, no want!
Mrs Neo: Haha scared already bah!
Mr Neo: Hahahha!! *Legs get weak, cannot run away*

*Mrs Neo then starts to pinch my nipple! Hahaha charge your battery arhh!*

Hahaha.. she's crazy, but she's really happy watching me suffer.
What to do man? Haha.

Spring Cleaning Day

I just felt like spring cleaning today.

My room of course came first. My desk has been packed with tons of stuffs, bills, coins and everything useless. Thinking it's going to be a 1-2hour job, i even told Mrs Neo that we should start after lunch.

It really began around 1.30pm. I am wondering if i should state the full details of the major work i did today so that i can read back next year, but i decided that i shall spare myself the details.
Cleaning up my desk is never an easy job anyway. I know best.

Tough as it is, i did it! It's spanking clean. Nothing on the desk except, 3 photo frame, one calendar, a PSP, a calculator, 1 nice rattan box containing my cables, ipod, camera and stuffs and one more container for my coins.

Neat! That's the word to describe. It took me close to 5 hours, arranging the cables, moving stuffs around to de-dust everything, throwing away stuffs and all those sweaty to-dos.

While i was working and straightening up the place, of course Mrs Neo was around me.
She's lying on the bed sleeping. From 2.30pm till 6.30pm.

I even finish mopping the floor of my whole flat, go wash my car then come back.

I'm such a good husband.

Today is...

Today's Halloween, Today's Pearl's Birthday, Today's Shirley's Last Day, Today's Friday!

Today! So many events.
Best of which is TGIF! And the weekend is coming.

The China colleagues are going off back home this Sunday, so a mini seafood session @ The International Seafood Resturant, for them
and also for Shirley's farewell i guess. We got Shirley a present though. A quilt cover that comes with 2 pillow case for her new home.
I wonder how she will feel today. She's here for 10 over years.

To leave a place she's so familiar with must be strange feeling.
Happy to leave the mess behind, but missing the last moments here.

It's 7pm a
s i type along, heehee seriously wonder how she's feeling.

I need to eat lunch.

It's been a really tough week. Halfway through but still alot more to come.

It's been an all 8am report to work scheme. I hate it. Be there at 8?!

Usually i am still not awake at 8am lor. But due to so many trainings going on. I don't really have a choice.

Somemore today really not my day.
I have a typo in someone's surname andhe blew his top.... Ya it's my mistake but it's a typo lor. Relax la.

Anyway.. I hope tomorrow will be a better day.
Pack pack schedule. I don't even have time to lunch!

I want to eat lunch!!!

2nd Time (2.22am)

Yeahh! I did it again.

I completed "God of War" again. This time in a more difficult mode, but nevertheless, still cleared the game.

This happen to be my favourite game. I played many series and versions of it from PSP to PS2.
For "Chain of Olympus", i first completed it on a plane ride to Shanghai, taking the time to and fro to complete the game in easy mode. Today was in normal mode so a little longer, took 4days (Total hrs unknown).

The fun in the game is the unlimited killing involved and the "power" that Kratos, the character can achieve, making killing even more bloody, fast and fun

It's a great stress buster.

Deepavali -1Day

I love Long weekends, it is the best thing that can come combined with a public holiday.
It's Sunday already yet there's another day of break waiting for me.

The memory pillow proves to be harder then i expect. My sore throat from KTV is still lingering and i am now tired from the 2 hour i spend at the Sengkang swimming pool. Today was a short day as time really flew by me.

Glad that dinner at Changi Airport was filling as well as relaxing. Watching the TV now, i wondered what will happen when blogspot decided to close down. Does that mean all my diary like entires goes flop? So i went to do a search and i found it...

http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=41447

Not that i will try to back it up, due to the tedious amount of steps required.
Well if it does then too bad... can't help it.

Tired.

菊花台

Was at Partyworld (TeaLovers) just the other day and chance upon this song, 菊花台, as the top hits for October and tried it.

Pretty easy song to sing as there was not many high pitch and difficult 圈音. As usual, i K the song until my sore throat came and when this happen, the typical signal that my brain sends out will be to start 背叛 until i cannot make it, which i did.

However, this 菊花台 song had such nice lyrics that it rings in my head for a while and Mrs Neo and myself decided to get the DVD to watch. I went to the new videoezy to rent it today and the offer was if i top up the value to $20, they give me the DVD for free! Woot! I did exactly that and brought the disc home to watch..

But hai... after watching, my throat was full of phlem. 哇靠!Jay Chou didn't win lor. Matter of fact be died. The "bad guy" remain in throne and the good died. The show was also personally rated slow for me and i did not really understand what happen until the very last stage. So one must have very good memory to realise the meaning of the show.

But yeah.. it's not one of those shows i will like. Actual fact i hate it quite a lot.
Love the song la. That's about all.

Don't watch it.

Memory Pillow

Heehee.. today Mrs Neo went shopping and brought me a memory pillow.
I personally like softer pillow while Mrs Neo love hard pillows.

Thus she only brought one for me. It cost $99.00.
But it's on offer today and it's going for $29.00 only! Hmm.. how to describe leh.
It's like the Tempur brand..

I'm looking forward to a good night sleep.

Sorry Lyon...

Errmm... Yups but Lyon was appointed quitter no.17.

More so, he was terminated with immediate effect.
Sad man. The sales team is one man down again. But it doesn't really affect me.

He's not my team anyway. But come to think of it. Nobody is my team anyway. Haha.

So dramatic. But i like it, it excites my day. So much to talk about over lunch.
Haha.

Anyway, i hope he finds a job soon.

Are we that rich?

The package actually arrive last Friday. Couriered in via DHL from U.S.A, Dalton.

I was the one who carried it into the Accounts room after seeing it lying in the reception.
And yesterday, the President of the company came over to Singapore, open up that box and ta-da!

They got new IBM T61 Thinkpad for all of us. I was like wow...
At a time like this still can think of upgrading our computers ah. Somemore the plan is to upgrade every 2years. (I wonder if i will stay till the next upgrade). 6 sets arrived for the Sales & Marketing Team first. The 2nd wave will follow suit soon and the plan is to upgrade everyone.

So is it good news? We are rich? We have a stable flow of capital?
Well i don't know, really.

Cause they did not get us new laptop bags...
It's part of a cost cutting exercise. Ahahah! Spend so much on the computer and don't get the bag.

Anyway... lost it, pay for it was the message across. You can spoilt it though. As long as it's around, you are save.

Hotels.de

Went thru numerous reviews and finally we short listed 2 hotels.
One for Hong Kong, one for Macau.

This trip is mainly targetted at Macau, we've never been there and since this will be a 5days4night getaway, we will do 2 nights in HongKong and the later 2 nights in Macau.

After really very very tedious search and comparisons with so many websites, we cut it down to the final 2 hotels in HongKong: (1) Holiday Inn (2) The Royal Plaza Hotel.
Well of course both have their attractions. Least to say, both have superb room size, a reputable name, spa and also very near the MTR stations.

End of the day, we picked the slightly more pricey Royal Plaza (i think S$60+ difference) - although it did not come with breakfast like Holiday Inn does. But, the location is superior with the Goldfish Market, Ladies Market in walking distance. Food is of course something that we will not lack in that location.
http://www.royalplaza.com.hk/

For Macau, we did not really have to decide. It's either the Vientica (I don't know how to spell) or the MGM Grand. I slapped my money on the MGM 100%. The sheer architecture of the hotel was worth every single penny. The 2 days stay here will cost me more then the hotel in HongKong + ferry tickets all round! But i guess it's a must stay for me even as i watch my wallet bleed. Seriously look at the website and you will know what i mean. The picture on the first page is the actual hotel shape! Amazing.

I Refuse!

3.36am on my Gshock.

It's tuned to go 8mins ahead of the "GMT +8 Timing".

Still wide awake, surfing the web, it's Sunday already. I dread thinking of work on Monday and thus refuse to waste any "free" time sleeping. I went to wash my car at around 12midnight.
Yeah I must be crazy... but there was a guy who came at 12.30am to join me. Haha.

Got home after the carwash, had a shower and was watching "Miami Ink" while having a little late night cup noodle coupled with some left over fried rice. Did 50 push ups, ended up with thrembling hands. Brushed my teeth, gurgled with the new try out of Systema mouth rinse instead of the usual Listerine (Listerine is stronger, but Systema is from Japan. Listerine? Is it made in China? *Freaks out*) and now am online to waste more time away.

Checking my emails and schedules, following Monday will be quite packed also.
Hai... But i do look forward to speaking to Jocelyn and checking out Macau with her.

I hope today, Sunday, will be a fufiling day. We already have plans to lunch at Waraku, get to the gym around 5pm and tumble down to my parent in-law's place for dinner tomorrow. Of course have to slot in some beauty naps in between to recharge my body for another week of work, work work!

I'm so bored now that i even embedded a song into the blog. Well i guess the song seems very right at the moment. The mood feels right. The aircon is just nice and i'm in a happy loving mood too.

Plan your own travel

http://sg.pyotravel.com/

Such a great website! However, in comparison with asiarooms, it lacks the comments section
so it's quite a chore to check back and forth to confirm a hotel.

However, price wise, it's a winner.

70days to Macau!
St Pauls' Ruin, The Grand MGM, Disneyland, Shenzhen, here i come!

We're going to Portugal!

Yeahhh...

We're flying Tiger! Yes yes...
My planted secret agent send me the sms at 2pm this afternoon telling me the news that there's an offer online now and i immediately activated Mrs Neo to do a dash to the keyboard to do the booking.

And so, YES! We managed to book the tickets! To Macau!
Heehee..

Well, it's said that Macau had a lot of Portuguese influence and since we had no money to go anywhere else, Macau seems like a wonderful option!

Heehee.. So happy. Finally booked my year end trip.
I was really wondering if we may skip travelling this year as it's already mid October and there's still no plans. Really super glad that we grabbed this in. I SERIOUSLY will go crazy if i don't travel out in December.

Hahaha. 5 days. Should be spending a fair deal in Hong Kong as Mrs Neo suddenly said that she wishes to visit Disneyland. Hmm i really don't remember that in her hit list after our visit to Japan's Disneyland. Heehee...

Anyway it didn't really matter as i am so happy about this event.
Maybe i will book a night in the new Crown hotel, 6stars leh.
I heard the toilet is gold plated!

WOOOOOOOoooo YESHHHHH!

Nikon D90

When i get my commision, i may just get this.
Maybe, maybe not.

But i love it. I love cameras, sunglasses, devices that can go online, handphones, aiyah i love a lot of things. But who have the money to buy everything anyway.

My job is tough man. But end of the year is coming!
It's time for me to get paid for all the things i've done so far. I guess it's the happiest period of time in the year for me.

Especially december, where all the people starts to take it slow. Alot of us goes on leave. This week you, next week me. Phone calls are relatively less and we get to clear our mind and soak in the festive season once again.

This coming year's CNY will fall in Jan. Which is even a better break!
Do you know next year, there are more then 10 long weekends?
That's why my sis said...

In Jan there's supposed to be 3 long weekend already!

Yippie! Relax time!

Countdown Ticker

Saw a ticker off Enjie's blog and it was so cool i decided to add one to my own.

Watching it count down makes me realise that life is so short. I watch it tick for at least 15seconds... and i just wasted 15seconds of my life watching the screen.

A month more to my 2nd year anniversary. Incredible feeling. It seems so fast and 2years went by just like that. Mrs Neo is sleeping already. Watching her sleep (yeah she's really deep into her sleep), i wonder what it would be like if i did not marry her and i married let's say my ex/ex-ex or whoever, just someone else.

Hmm.. it's really hard to imagine how my life would be like now.

But really, i'm glad i made the right choice. Now we both are happy, my mum's happy. We live happily (most of the time) together, plan to move into the new house together and be happy (most of the time).

I get off work everyday to go home to see her, or fetch her back from work.
It's coming 2 years now, i'm still not sick of her! Haha.
I guess i can still feel happy for many good years to come, adding a ticker every year.

Lovingly Signed,
Mr Electronic Neo

Singapore 2nd F1 Night Race 2009 or Felicia's Wedding?

The season where everyone starts to get married around you comes.

It's starting for me since around 1year back and i don't think it's going to stop soon.
Following this will be a series of house warming, baby shower and baby 1st year old. Well as we all age, it's the part of life that most of us will go through.

Chatting with Felica over MSN, she broke to me the news that her wedding will be on the 2009 Night Race in Singapore!

Wow! i was like, what a date man. But must be a good date la i thought.
Haha. Of course her worry will be turn out. But i guess those that will come, will come.
Those that does not plan to come, will not. So it will not matter that much, in my opinion.

But you will never know, what if that date is the Finals of the race and those people brought a 3day pass? Hmmm...

I must remember to blog this a year later and read back on this post and update the results.

Blogging is fun, i imagine reading back on my post a year later (or more to come), to see what happen x years back, on the same day.

Palawan Beach & The Pines

We were there yesterday for the Robert Bosch Family Day.

My sis's working in the company and since we had nothing better to do, we went over to have some sun and fun. The event was really so-so. Nothing much to shout about, but with a lot of food and loud music that anyone could handle.

The Palawan beach on Sentosa, away from the more famous Siloso beach is a haven for sun tanners, volleyball players and also beach soccer. The sand close to the shoreline is ultra soft, the waves that comes in is also gentle, i guess due to the fact that it's shaped like a lagoon, with the impact of the waves all absorbed by the breakwater surrounding it.

In fact i really think it's best for suntanning. Lotsa space around even on Saturday.
I am sure to visit it again in the near future.

Sentosa changed a lot these days. The moved the entry gate further back, now payment for vehical is via the cashcard system and they build up more carpark, ample spaces for everyone, anywhere you wish to park.

--

The transition was then to my army friend's wedding at "The Pines". The places was decent. Not a well located area i must say. First time there.. so....

But someone valet parked for me. Which i really don't like. I don't rev my car across the 4rpm mark. But i guess they dint' care about it at all. Hai...

Well as i am already married, of course i took lead to mix a classic "undrinkable" toast for the groom, i'm not afraid! I'm married i told the rest of the guys. All joined in as well of course. The "toast" smelt like pepper more then anything. And Jeremy the groom bravely took it and drowned it down. Wah sehh... that's the way it should go mah. Once in a lifetime, how can don't get drunk?

Anyway he took 3 of those "potion mixture". Hahaha.
A typical "okok, last one" kept coming out of my mouth, but it realli never ends until his face told me, he's going to puke.

I let him off after that. He's my friend you know. How bad can i get?
Haha.

Congrats Bro. I look forward to hearing more of your stories in 2011 In Camp Training.

Happiest 45mins this week

Finally! It's officially over.

The rush, it's come to an end. Time now is 5.19pm on my computer and i open my arms, waiting to embrace the weekend.
The question in my mind now is, shall i do a 1hr massage or 1.5hr massage later. Woooo!

Hahah such a joyful question. The office feels extremely happy today.
Jocelyn went off at 5pm to go the airport for a plane to Hong Kong. Back only the following Monday, it's 10 days of fun fuN FUN!
She's so happy when she left office. Well i would be too, if i am her.

What a happy day for all of us.

Nissin Cup Noodles

日清杯面。

Surviving on cup noodles for the most of these 2 weeks was simply crazy.
Unlimited work, coming in at 9am and leaving at 1am.

Just to sleep and wake up to go to work.

But yes, all 3 proposals are done deal and ready to go. There's still a little to tidy up for the last one, but yes, it's a small issue. I feel so glad now. To do nothing.

I love the carefree feeling so much. I hope tomorrow will be a slow lazy day for me, which i plan after work to go for one bone cracking massage session followed by a spa session.

Woohoo!! The weekend is coming and i have so much in my mind to do.
First there's the Sentosa which i have to go, my friend, Jeremy's wedding, the travel agency to check out and hopefully book a package to somewhere for the year end getaway, polish my car which had been neglected, catch some sleep, go to the gym for some sweaty exercise and maybe, just maybe go swimming @ the new sengkang swimming pool again.

I really can't for for tomorrow to come.

Rich Neighbours

I'm usually not surprised that my neighbours around the 4 blocks, which shares a common open air carpark gets a new MPV or even a BMW (i have a few 7series here).

I even had a neighbour who changes sports car every year. But he moved away, my guess is that he went to stay in a landed property.

However, today i see 2 of my neighbours with the SJJ plate. Ohh new car again.

One's driving a BMW Z4 Roadster,
The other a Nissan GTR.

Wah seh. Really so rich ah? Leave such good cars to bake in the hot sun and let it face all elements that Mother Earth can throw at them.

I'd rather move to a property if i had the spare cash.

Fine Dining

I did my best. Really.

I tired to do a minced meat with egg actually, but i put the meat into water and it "dissolved"! Ahah! Seriously i did try to save it but it look too wrong to eat, so i cutted up some hotdogs instead and threw it all in with some sesame oil which i happen to find.

I guess the yong tau hu was a success I din't try to taste it. Yeah... I fear failure. But at least it look right.

What can i really expect? Can eat very happy ler.

First Formula 1 Night Race

4days before the actual event.

Roads are blocked. Restricted access in some cases, only passable if you hold a valid pass. Carparks at Marina Sq & Millienia Walk are pulled out for special usages.

Jam starts all the way from Nicoll Highway into town and it's a very organised jam. I must comment that Singapore did a good job at this area. It's a heavy, heavy jam yet everything seems so in line. No honking. Nobody tried to changed lane (maybe everyone know that the whole 4 lanes are blocked).

A little trouble is inevitable i guess. All this to welcome the first night race.

1 Full Year Cycle

1 Full cycle, 367.4days had passed since my new estate "Coral Spring" first launch.

19th September 2007.

Today, 21st September 2008 (Yeah a few days late) we see the load testing being done, tower cranes, site offices and all the green green grass which kids uses to play soccer on is now officially full steam under construction.

It won't be done in another 2years+, coming 3. But i guess Mrs Neo & myself is ever excited over it. Everyday is a day closer to a place that will be our new home.

Buying the flat was like a milestone for us. A humble 4room, yet it's a stage of life, most Singaporean goes through. So i guess up next will be to have a baby and i guess our life is "completed", or should i say blessed.

Some of the latest developments to date.
