一路走来,十一月二十八日
I personally have never seen a proposal of such "scale", making those local gigs of lighting candles in the the middle of the night with "I Love You" at gf's carpark to propose seems utterly lame.
Leo's proposal was a scale that involved 2 countries, across countries borders.
A conspiracy that (we were glad) worked.
"This ring, Shuben will like anot?" - be sure with ipod touch.
"The Meyson Proposal ring that meant all." - Shortlisted after view around 15versions from all over Singapore. 好用心。 The paying part was quite tough thou'
So here's the bouquet that stands out from the lot. Have to help him buy as he's still acting "i don't know what happening" And he reserved the whole resturant.
Hide out still have CCTV.
See here they come Well skip the dinner part.
Here comes the Rocker!
Woooo!
The Love Song for her
The touched lady
The moment of truth,
Flowers, Rings, Watch.
Everything he had, he gave without thinking.

一碗肉骨茶 一世巴生情
Tested and proven.
I must say it's one of the BEST Ba Kut Teh i ever had.
I used to think that the one at Johor was good.
Haha, boy was i wrong.
Honestly i did not think that i will remember the taste at all.
It really taste good when you are having it. But i forgot the taste and feeling around 24hrs after i had it.
But strangely, weeks after, it started coming back.
I was reading a blog and chance upon the picture of the Klang Ba Kut Teh.
Wah seh. It's exactly how it looked like when i ate it!

Best of all, they even have a website!
Fierce. 好想吃.
730Days Wedding Anniversary
(http://wahkaus.blogspot.com/2008/11/finally-i-realised.html)
Well. That's the day, today!
Planning to have dinner together after work today, Mrs Neo told me "See you later in the evening" at the void deck while i kissed her and left for work.
Hmm... seems like things didn't really go the way we wanted it to.
i knocked off at around 7pm after finishing some last minute paperwork.
Mrs Neo said she had to work overtime (again). So there goes everything.
Seriously we did not plan to have candlelight dinner at some fancy resturant, just some place for dinner. I was thinking of the Airport, where there's a wide variety to choose from.
But here's what dinner was in the end.
Mr Neo had "Jup Cai Peng / Mixed Vegetable Rice - Vegetables fried with meat, Scrambled Eggs & Fried Chicken" @7.45pm.
Mrs Neo had "Some soup i da bao for her + Chocolate McFlurry" @11pm.
And we shared a fillet-o-fish meal.
Still happy though.
Happy 2nd Anniversary Darling.

Digital Photography! Yess! I brought my first dSLR - The Nikon D90.
I really have been thinking about this for coming 2 months now and after yesterdays' hiccup, i went down to the shop again and paid for it, not collected yet though as it's really out of stock but i wanted to lock in the price and get the $50 voucher which offers only stands till Sunday. So it's really like paying up and not getting anything.
Here's what i got myself with all the accessories & freebies:
- Nikon D90 Kit ( VR 18 - 105mm Lens )
- 1 x UV Lens Filter

I was telling myself this will be my anniversary present cum christmas present as it's quite an amount. So no more buying of anything expensive for a while now. Heehee.
Of course with my wedding anniversay around the corner, i brought Mr Neo her anniversary present today for being such a princess for all these time.
I bet she's pretty happy, delighted, elated and thrilled by the present.
Awaiting more happy years to come, it's a happy day today.

On Air

Finally found a small radio which meets my requirement. I've been finding this for the longest time, 1st it must not be those stupid scanning system, must only run on AA batteries and not AAA. I got this for $19 at Leisure Park.
Mrs Neo and myself was there just now to play arcade..
Yeah, wacking the machines, we found a new game where u throw balls at mosquitos or bandits, it's really fun, but it cost $2.00 for 3 stages. A stress buster.
Seriously i felt better after that.
Reaching Leisure Park only around 8.30pm.
Yups it after work, 11 - 12hours work seems so normal for us. It's totally crazy i feel.
Don't think about it! Weekend is coming... Don't, don't think about it.
Don't think.
A stationary parade

Looks like a batch of white something in the picture right?
Well it's actually a whole lot of white Toyota vehicals, from cars to vans. Took the picture from one of my project site this afternoon in PSA Vista.
All White! And there's a lot of vehicals. Seperated by models.

Wedding - How To's
Not to mention the 2 x Malay Wedding going on in the neighbourhood.
Seems like a good date today for all races. As i watch the bridal car come fetch my neighbour, from my unit, the convoy starts to form, the entourages from the groom and the bride starts to chit chat while the blissful pair enter the car due to the huge can-can that slows things down.
Having gone through my own wedding, it seems so fun watching people get married. I can nearly imagine what they should be thinking about at those moment when the groom does some specific actions.
Today, to make it sum up, i decided to post (From the groom's point of view).
Top 10 things to make the "Pick up the Bride" session memorable.
1) Have a group of more then 10 entourages to pick up the Bride. Get them to wear a similar color theme. Full suit would look great!
2) Have a huge car convoy, personally prefers 10 + 1 bridal car. Ideal to have walkie talkies.
3) Make sure no car in the covoy looks more "eye catching" then the bridal car. Best to get a 6door Limo/SLK/Ferrari and the rest be white color sedan. Same model would be outstanding!
4) Make sure the bridal store gives you enough car deco for all in the convoy and make sure it's not just some simple 3loop ribbion. Ensure they give big big plush ribbons with mesh to match.
6) Have the bride's entourages to be people you don't know (quite hard), so they will not go all out to slam the door on your face.
8) Take your time as the entourages gate crash. Do nothing, sit back, relax.
9) Appoint a entourage to do all the negotiation and talking.
10) Have a great photographer & videographer.
Point No. 1 - Have a huge group of entourage
Point No. 6 - It's really hard to have entourage from the Bride side to be people you don't know.Anyway, to do big things, some men have to sacrifice. Refer to Point 5 many times through out the gate crash.
(Keyword: "Brave Men")
Point No.7 - Give anything, but money.
Point No.8 - Do nothing, sit back, relax
Point No. 9 - Have a champion negotiatorFriday, November 14, 2008
Less Light
Night seems to fall earlier then usual. At 6.30pm near my area, it's dark already.
Street lights are not even on yet as they are always set to power up at 7pm.
As my mum always say, at times like this "the slow housewife will never have enough time to complete her housework".
Haha, a funny illustration, but true to some sense.

Wagging his tail
Everytime it rains and i drive behind a hatchback car, especially like Swift, Cooper, Kelisa, Picanto & such which have this rear wiper. (Note: I have no prejudice against them, i am stating them in names for the type i am describing only).
It always brings a smile to my face. Cause it looks like a little dog wagging his tail.
Very cute when it swipe the rear windscreen. Haha.
Recession & Me
It's a slow wet morning. I've heard alot of people asking me last week if the market is slowing down on my end. I told them nothing as yet. But a lot of projects are on hold.
This morning i went to work as usual. A busy morning clearing up the paper week that i left last week. It's been a long time since i felt free... and today, in the afternoon, i was free. My mobile rang less then 10times today, a sharp drop from the 50 - 60 a day status. Out of the 10, only 4 are projects enquiry. Others are simply just some minor issues.
I went to a few design firms in the late afternoon. They were packing up their libraries, hanging around, doing some minor things and all told me "Yeah, it's quiet", "Ohh, that's on hold"... "No, no news from client yet".
Typical answers i get. That would mean less sales for me and more importantly, a harder fight for share in the market, where all will be going for those few projects and diving in head first with ridiculous pricings to bring in volume instead of margins.
I wonder how long it takes to recover. 1 year?
Can it recover faster anot? How about like next Feb? When my new fiscal year starts?
Heehee, i can afford to rest this year, but next year leh?
Really demoralising period of time. I hope i can ride the tides of recession well.
Signed,
Mr Electronic Neo

Finally i realised..
Always on a higher resolution, it's only today that i realise that Mrs Neo is on 1024 x 768.
Thus this picture always seems "cut".
Shall move it here for now.
For today, i spend close to 2hours 30mins optimizing the images on my blog to fit into 1024 x 768. I had to change the background image 8times, the title 7times. Well, now it looks funny on my current resolution. But it's going to look well on Mrs Neo's, so well. That will do it.
Steamboat dinner today!

Bitter StickGal
Really cool. Talented lady.
Draws well and thus express herself very much with those cartoons.
I will enjoy reading her entries.
Can I ?
So many people could not turn up last minute that it doesn't make sense to catch up.
Therefore instead i decided to date Mrs Neo out for dinner as i guess it's really quite long since we "pak tor" on our own. Leaving office at 6pm sharp, i went over to fetch Mrs Neo from her office and head to Bedok North for dinner.
Midway, she asked me.
Mrs Neo: "Can i punch you?"
Mr Neo: "Yeah, sure. Go ahead"
*Tightens up my left hand to brace myself for the punch.
Mrs Neo: "No, i want to punch your face."
Mr Neo: "Ohh wow"
We had chicken chop, mee sua, honeydew juice, ice cream soda and ice kachang.
Yeah, she didn't punch me la. Haha but kept pinching my cheeks though. Very pain.

Strong Foundation, Safe Homes
Yippie, looks like they are going to start piling soon.
Houses nowadays are like toys, build on moulds and cast of different shapes.
That explains why new flats tends to have "crack" lines running here and there. No major issues, but as the building age, the cubes, sort of like lego, starts to show it's shape.
This is so unlike older flats, which was really build brick by brick. Well that aside, 4 months into contruction, they have finally started the major ops, i wonder how long piling will take. I do hope to see them do it well and firm rather then a speedy one on this point.
Sengkang here i come!

Digital Single Len Reflex
Hmm. it's really bugging me. I've been considering to buy it or not for coming 3weeks now.
I even checked out the prices, the cheapest i could find was $1,680 for the Nikon D90. This price i can get 4 pairs of my favourite Oakleys!
Today i started reading up on dry cabinets and also lens. A good guide i found at
http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=245883.
The more i read, the more i wonder if i should buy. I always love photography, i like to shoot stuffs and keep everything as memory. That's why i wanted a DSLR.
However, tonight i pondered about it. Do i really want to commit myself into it? It's a "on-going" hobby which will require a lot of time, commitment (make sure the lens does not grow fungus) and of course money.
I can probably work around the starter kit pricing, but what if i regret?!
That's the question that keeps bubbling in my mind.
Aiyah, honestly, before i buy anything i will consider and consider and consider and research and research. That's so me. I'm in this situation so many times, yet this time, i am determined not to make a mistake.
To keep things safe, i've decided to shelf it. Not to search anymore of such articles, not to visit any such shops and let myself calm down over the excitement to get a new "toy".
And i will come back to this just before i leave for Macau.

Tug-Of-War
I did not realise this, but every night i'm playing tug-of-war with Mrs Neo.
I like to turn on the aircon and fan all together, to make the room cold quickly.
Then e cover up the blanket and she likes roll to her right, i like to roll to my left so naturally.
And it ends up in a tug-of-blanket.
My tactic is the roll the blanket under my body, so that my body weight will not allow her to tug it back.
Her's of course is the best, she screams at me!
Most of the time i lose the blanket, gets very cold and fall sleep.

Charge me up!
Mr Neo: Then what can you do?
*Hand movement by Mrs Neo, 10 fingers open and close imitating a star twinkle*
Mrs Neo: I charge your battery want?
Mr Neo: AHahahah! No want, no want!
Mrs Neo: Haha scared already bah!
Mr Neo: Hahahha!! *Legs get weak, cannot run away*
*Mrs Neo then starts to pinch my nipple! Hahaha charge your battery arhh!*
Hahaha.. she's crazy, but she's really happy watching me suffer.
What to do man? Haha.

Spring Cleaning Day
My room of course came first. My desk has been packed with tons of stuffs, bills, coins and everything useless. Thinking it's going to be a 1-2hour job, i even told Mrs Neo that we should start after lunch.
It really began around 1.30pm. I am wondering if i should state the full details of the major work i did today so that i can read back next year, but i decided that i shall spare myself the details.
Cleaning up my desk is never an easy job anyway. I know best.
Tough as it is, i did it! It's spanking clean. Nothing on the desk except, 3 photo frame, one calendar, a PSP, a calculator, 1 nice rattan box containing my cables, ipod, camera and stuffs and one more container for my coins.
Neat! That's the word to describe. It took me close to 5 hours, arranging the cables, moving stuffs around to de-dust everything, throwing away stuffs and all those sweaty to-dos.
While i was working and straightening up the place, of course Mrs Neo was around me.
She's lying on the bed sleeping. From 2.30pm till 6.30pm.
I even finish mopping the floor of my whole flat, go wash my car then come back.
I'm such a good husband.
