Guess we were pretty excited about Terminal 3. So we ran over, hopped onto the sky train and made our way to the new terminal.

Wow. Reach there only Mrs Neo wanna buy a Coach bag already. Still in Singapore the shopping spree start liao.

Last day of the week

The countdown clock starts ticking off.

One more day and it's holiday for me!
Today Mrs Neo decides to stuff her luggage into my luggage bag since it comes with a caster wheels. And she sweetly suggested that i carry her backpack instead of a super small one that i intended to bring.

By doing so, she have freeded herself of any luggage! Her clothes are in my luggage, i am leaving my backpack at home and carrying her's.

Whee!!! I've got everything now! Haha.

One major question on my mind now.

1) Snokelling at Phi Phi Island
2) Buy a stylo hat
3) Have a crazy seafood dinner. Lobster a must.

I must be excited about the trip to be so precise

The flight is at 8.30am on thursday morning, so we got to be there at 6.30am. Thats how i derive the timings.

Today i unpack my backpack and decided to bring along a golf pack luggage with caster wheels instead. Actually the idea was for me and my wife to carry a backpack each. But i think i cannot carry 2 backpacks on my one back. So it's a wiser choice to pull ne and carry her's... Yes yes, i have a very lucky wife who travels "light", cas i will take everything for her.

Kinda crazy of her you think? Well i guess i am happy when i see her running around to see her stuffs not lugged down by the sometimes heavy bags.

That automatically makes me a good hubby right? My dearest also cannot handle more then 3 items, regardless of size of item she's handling. If on hand she has for example, a handphone, a wallet and a sunglass. Let her take another thing like a packet of soya bean drink. 93.5% of the time, she'll drop something, IF NOT all the things.

It's true! It's so funny. Another habit i have when i travel is to carry a backpack where ever i go to. This will alow me to stuff all the shoppings into the bag. It's hard to guess why i have to do that.....

Because if i don't, Mrs Neo will be angry with carrying all her shoppings! Ahahaha!!

79 Hours

79Hours more before i will be at the airport departing for sunny phuket.

Today i packed up my stuffs, all ready for the trip. However the thought of having to work another 3days before going off on Thurs morning gives me a headache. I was even thinking of taking the following monday off since i will only arrive on sunday close to 9pm.

But i wrote off that idea eventually to save on my leave. I guess breaks are never enough. It's best if i don't have to work anymore and more importantly, don't have to worry about money.
But that impossible, so i rather save the leave for another occassion. Which i guess will be my bro-in-law wedding coming up in September '08.

Everytime i think of phuket, I can imagine the tropical sun basking onto the golden sand, with a backdrop of swaying coconut trees and lush greens, people in sunglasses lazing around the beach, having some iced chilled cocktails.

I wanna be there now!

My wife was saying this is the first trip we are going to a 'hot place'. Usually we go to cold places, including Genting Highlands.

With both of us looking forward to the trip, i really hope and pray that it'll be what we dream it will be. But i sometime wonder... For the crazy price we paid. Is it really a steal off an offer?

Or will we get the old saying....

Suppose to meet at 8pm. But end up they reach at 8.40. Boarding time @ 8.50pm. Woo.. So it's no dinner and a mad dash to the boarding gate.

So me and my wife wave byebye and stood by the departure hall.

Now focus on the photo on top. Leo tried to enter the gate on the left! Heehee. The entrance on the right mah. So many people there he also nv see.

Today we were watching CableTV i think channel 52, there were showing 全能美食秀.

They were playing a game, the celebrities will slide a mug of beer down a table to a rotating with a red and white wheel spinning. The idea is to stop the mug at the red sections.

It's pretty exciting and Mrs Neo really enjoyed the show, laughing her ass off.
Then she told me (Sitting on a computer chair).

China's Earthquake

The scale of destruction of this natural disaster is intense.

Today we hear news of a surviving baby found beside the dead mother.

Another kid was found alive, holding on to his mobile phone with a text message from his mother telling him to live on, live strong should he survive and be alive. Nobody knows if the mother is alive at all.

Falling in love again

Four Season Bakery - Supreme Durian

We got it over at AMK Hub yesterday when we were there for a short transition before a Vesak Day dinner that we were gona attend.

Here's what we got:
1) A pack of 4 durian puffs
2) A durain waffle! One of it's kind!

We waited a minute for them to make the waffle and within that minute we ate the puffs. It's that power! (Immediaty we had durian breath. You know those hard to rid breath when you have "strong durians")

Cold, creamy D24 durain. I could really feel the texture. No short cut or any mix with anything artificial.

Next came the waffle which we were excited to get after tasting the puffs.

Wah seh, really good lor.

A die die must try. The price? Reasonably cheap for it's quality.

I went off work 10mins early today, bearing in mind that i have to patch my tyres.
I've been monitoring it and for the last tank full, i ran 100km less then usual!
That's hell lot, considering the price of petrol nowadays.

Determined to solve it, i drove to a tyre shop i visited before to patch my tyres too..
I know they charge $8 for patching tyres and i felt that was pretty reasonable and they have good service too.

Reach the shop around 6.15pm and called my wife to tell her i will be a bit late as i am patching tyre...

I wonder why anyone will start a blog?

Actual fact, i start mine for fun, yet almost every day, or at least every other day, i update it.

After which i though while i was driving today, what advantage will blogging bring you?

Not many of bloggers out there can make it into a celebrity blogger.
Those people are usually, pretty or handsome.

But i managed to think of some good reasons why everyone should blog.

1) Create a virtual diary
- You can refer back to as far back as you want. Say for example, you will remember, or get to remember what happen on every 13th May.

2) Express your feelings openly
- Should there be only close friends or better still, nobody who knows your blog, it's a perfect aveune to throw out your feelings, be it happy or sad.

3) A blog a day, keeps the stress away
- People use to say "To recall back what happen in the morning would give you better effort to improve yourself tomorrow". When i blog, i recall the happenings, so i guess the effect is pretty much the same.

4) It's fun & It's FREE TOO!
- What can be better? Anyway, if you realise. You can start a blog today and have tons of fun customising this and that. And tomorrow, you can forget all about it and nobody will blame you!

5) Fact: There are no advantages.
- If there is, the whole world will be blogger liao lor.

Sales, Stress & You

I get a lot of people asking me about the Sales Line.Many of which feels that it's a challenging job (why do people look for challenges anyway? i for one hates challenges).Others feel that the benifits and returns will be good.

Personally, i've been selling one thing or another for coming 6years now.You ask "So how's things?"I can tell you it's hell lots of fun, but you need hell lots of energy and drive.

Sales can be a glamourous job. The main objective of course, $ales.
No company can do without a Sales Position.

Serious! Think of any company, everyone needs someone to be out there to push for volume.Even Coca Cola needs sales people (even tho' they are already good), to beat up Pepsi and ensure they stays on top.

But to stay on top, a lot of stress goes onto your shoulders.

Sales Personnels are "self-runned" companies, or i like to call people like myself an "Entity".
I run my own show, i have a boss that i don't report to (But i do report my figures), and i can go where ever i want, when ever i want and best of all, nobody questions me.

All sales persons gets a basic pay. Followed by the amazing commisions.
The percentage of commisions is relatively in porportion to the basic you get.. the lower your basic, the higher the comm, the higher your basic, the lower your comms. (But of course it's not always the case in some companies).

The basic structure however, still remains intact.
The more you bring in, the more you bring home.
GOOD company would not be shy to pay you commision if you can bring the sales in. They probably do not even care about your commision which is just a few % compared to their already marked up figures.

Thus the start of the dog fight in the market. No one remains alone in the sales market.
If you are selling well, tomorrow someone will come out with a smiliar item for a fraction of your price!

Then... stress sets in.
The good side of sales falls back now. Nights after nights of devotion creeps into your life (until the deal is closed, but it's a forever cycle if you want to have more sales). You might go home feeling your head bloated with information that you wish to do tomorrow.

I have a great way to counter that.
Simple, write down your problems. Like if you have a nasty problem to solve tomorrow, write it down on paper. This actually frees your mind instead of doing a mental note (Proven Fact).

Also, always remain positive.
There is never anything that cannot be resolved. It is just everything that cannot be solved.

2nd Sunday of May

Yesterday was Mother's Day.

Amidst the celebration where everyone tries their best to show their love to each's parents, we had our share too.

Summary:

Mum : A Kenko, 2hr Massage Package of 12 times.
Mum-In-Law : A Coach BagDinner

Venue : "Li-Kui" Teochew Restaurant.

Due to the "hot date", we only had from 6.30pm till 7.30pm to finish a 10course meal.Such a rush, but quite expected la, since it's Mother's Day and a 2nd session will come on after us.So just share the joy and eat quickly lor.

Was fun too.

Small shareholder

HDB is really effiecient. They promised me a 11am appointment today and when i went there today, took a number and it was like 80 more numbers before my number.

Yet surprisingly, or maybe not surprisingly, at 10.56am, they flashed my queue number. Sweet! That's what appointment are for right.

So did the paperwork... Guess i will remember this day for a while. So happy to know a new house is coming.

The first 5% of the house (which is what we paid today) was paid by my wife via her cpf. Which makes her the big share holder now.

Now i am a "xiao gu dong".

I'm lovin' it

A late night supper (dinner for my wife), after she just reach home from work.

Time now is 11.48pm.

McDonalds is really cool with it's 24hr service.

Anyway i really love it's ice lemon tea with fish burger combi. Refreshing taste of ice tea. Tantalising texture of the fish burger...

Wah i forgot th chilli, the garlic chilli.
Who can resist that?

The Age Old Language

Nowadays working in Singapore, i guess i really lost touch (due to the lack of use) of the Chinese language.
I do still speak chinese, but to write, i honestly have some problems.

I posted this to try to remind myself of a few words that i just learnt...
But see, i forgot the word already. Or more so, i forgot the "Pinyin" of the word that i just picked up 30mins ago.

There's the combination of "不+用". Just like how you would type “歪”。

Must be too much Readers Digest for me.. I think i must read more of my wife's I 周刊 & U 周刊.

Kenneth & Alex

The story of a fairy in training...

In this story the fairy in training shall be known as Alex.
The trainer fairy shall be known as Kenneth.

Alex was with Kenneth at a poor man's house whom lived with only a cow and his wife. One day, hiding in the rooftop a thief came in and Kenneth magically pop open a piece of brick on the wall to exposed a bag of hidden gold, which was all the old farmer had. Seeing the gold, the thief quickly grabbed it and ran off.. Alex felt so strange that Kenneth did not help the poor old couple.

Alex and Kenneth then moved to a rich man's mansion the next day. The following night while the rich man was having dinner with his wife, Kenneth waved his magic fingers and out poped a chest filled with jewellerys. The rich couple was so happy with the findings, moved away to JB so that nobody will know their lucky find!

By now Alex was more confused and asked Kenneth..

"why did you not help the poor farmers while you threw jewels at the already rich?"

Kenneth the fairy smiled and replied...

"Because one the night the thief broke into the house, if i did not let him get away with the gold, he would have been angry and killed the poor old wife. And as for the rich man. Actually his garden is buried with lots and lots of gold from the old times. If i did not send him that one small chest of jewellerys and for him to run away to JB, he would have found the golds the next day..."

Life always throws you into extreme situations.
Sometimes there's no "brighter side" to look on, that's because Kenneth is not always there to explain, while there are a lot of Alex around who never get to see the full picture.

Mindset

I realise how much our brain control our lifes. It does and will with no doubt, makes us look at things either on the cheerful side or on the gloomy side.

Such a feeling can become contridicting when something happen and you get upset. But then you recall something else that happen a few days ago that is really similar or the exact same thing, yet you still feel quite glad.

It's all in the mind and the mindset that is pre-determined.

When you JUST fall in love, you will tend to have a extremely positive mindset. Your bf or gf is perfect and honestly nothing can upset you. (no guarantee on later parts).

And when you start to hate you job, the things that you have been doing for so long now (and i do mean the same old things), feels so lame and dumb. Meaningless. You wonder why you are doing it. It's a different mindset. A negative one and nothing can improve that.

My best explantion is when you hate someone... No matter what he or she does, will sure to irritate you.

I hope that's enlightening enough for us to understand that life is always beautiful. But WE determine how to color it.

Over there we trained hard, missions after missions.

And we graduated as the Best Combat & Infantry Unit for our year.

I then did my Bachelor Degree.
And graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Information & Technology (With Merit)

Work

Then i joined the working force and travelled often.
This time i was spotting a "i wear a spec, i am a professional look"

I had a change of job, made new friends.
And i totally screwed the professional image.
This job i am trying the anything image.

And we decided to get married.

It's still feels amazing. To finally go close to owning a personal home. To stay with the people i love for many good years.

Today i downloaded the open source applications as the first step for setting up my online boutique.

Plans are made to what items to sell and how to bring them in.
Mostly i guess we will bring in items from Mainland, China.
Well simply because we can and we know where to get them.

My father in law is the King of China you know?
He's the Emperor and i am the the 5th Prince, while my wife, of course, The Princess.
Wonder why i am Fifth Prince? Nope, my wife is the 3rd Royal Kid. But I just like to be Fifth Price cas i like the way it sounds, that's all.

Royal blood aside, our targetted audience are mainly.
Jeans for the masses and Toddlers clothes for the cute little babies.
Maybe one that allow ppl from Europe or USA to purchase electronic items from Singapore.
Sorta a JSpree Concept, but in Singapore. Ya.. you get it right?

I would have to travel to China for the start then. For the first procurement and selection, i guess. After which we can just get the "Soldiers" on the ground to arrange freight and ship for us.

My princess said something about ARecord. Where we can host up to 5 websites on one Domain!
Am i losing touch with the IT world or am i spending too much time carrying carpets? Freak!

This is going to be the start of a massive invasion of the online world.
I plan to take the WWW by storm when i launch my site.

Kevin's 3YrOld Birthday

Amazing that Hazel is now having a 3yr old bb boy. She's not the only one of course. There's Doris that have a kid too (and a dog).

But it's really contrasting. In my poly batch, only a few of us gt married, namely hazel, doris, myself n my wife. Hhaha.

2 have kids now, like me are planning for kids, while others are spending time with gfs or bfs. The rest don't bother finding any gfs or bfs, just happy on their own.

I presume there will come one year where the whole gang will start to get married all together. That should be fun.

FREE PARKING!

Thats seldom the case in Sillypore. Many people are of course trying their best not to get any ticket for their parking method.

But look! My carpark here is never even 80% full.. Yet tonight i have no lots to park and at least 20cars parked randomly. Carpark auntie happily keying in their carplate. Quota hit liao lor.

And the reason why everyone is parking like that, theres some major prayer sessions going on nearby. Hardcore man

End up i park 2 carparks away and walk back.

After the Feast

Met one of my fans at the resturant and they pass me this slip
and ask for my signature.

And we had the below left in it's worst state. I should have taken a picture of it when they serve this top four dishes, really looks pretty nice and presentation was wonderful. The top left (red color) is the chilli crab. Still got a few more pieces inside but everyone's just too full to eat anymore.

Oh anyway.. the desert really is not to my liking, next time you visit this place,
just choose mango pudding. Just so you know, we had "Thai Desert".

Labour Day Holiday

Today is a public holiday for many around the world. This simply means that we get paid for not working. We have to be thankful for this day, as many it dated as far back as 1894, where USA and Canada started the first "Labour Day" after strikes by the people.

For the first time, this demostration resulted in a 8hours day work and a 1st May off day WITHOUT the deduction of salary. Hence today, May Day is celebrated all over the world for the hard work everyone put in (Or try to put in) at work.

Feeling generous today we had seafood lunch at "Playground @ The Big Spalsh", East Coast Park. A full 10 course dinner brought me back by $488.45 for 8pax. But the chilli crab is to die for. Juciy and hot and everything a Singapore Chilli Crab should be. Started at 1pm, ended around 3.30pm.

That's about most of the daylight gone more or less already.

Ohh how i wish tomorrow is Saturday. I've to slog to work for one more day before the weekend arrives. But heck, i bet tomorrow would be fun. I've always enjoyed the Fridays, where i can plan to go out at night (sometimes we plan, but end up we slp at home), to go bowling or have tim sum.
