Comex 2008

So much to buy! I brought, CDR, a Panasonic Cordless Phone and 2 portable HDD. Thus of course spend a lot of money.

Actually my intention too Comex is to get a GPS. There's so much to choose from! There are the 61channels to recieve satallite stations from all across the globe to those with 6 stations that still dare to boast that it can load in 8 - 10mins! (That's too long lor, i can find my street directory book faster then that!).

Seriously.. it can be as bad as "you can only key in 2 digits for postal codes".
I was like 哇靠! Key in 2 digits, is like searching for the whole AMK, then buy GPS for what?

Maybe i am just a greedy man, for $500 i want to get the best of the deal.
I want a set that have at least 32channels, 4.5" Screen and above, loads in less then 2mins, comes in malsing map format, free overseas map, free updates of local maps for 2years, can announce speed cameras, can announce ERPs (best if can announce charges for ERP), 2 chargers (one car, one home), a firm non-vibrating holder, a usage time longer then the charge time (eg, charge 2hrs, use 3hrs).

How's that Comex? Can you offer me something?

Cold...

A slow, cold, extremely boring day at work.
It's crawling towards mid-day and i am sitting in office, falling asleep.

This is the first time i blogged in office. You can imagine how bored i am.
Must be the last few months of extremely hectic schedule. Now that i have a break, i tend to slack a lot.
Today i have 3 appointments in the afternoon and i intend to crawl my way through the morning and have lunch before "doing my job".

The new guy fell somehow and is on MC today. What a start for him man.

Things seems to be better for me, and i hope it keeps rolling.

Last month's closing was great for me, i brought in enough to make everyone happy and the start of this working month proves to be as well.
I'm that little closer to smashing my sales target up. Good news for me, year end vacation (a well deserved one for Mrs Neo & myself) here i come!

Stoned today, i woke up at 2.30am to the ringtone of :Loco Roco:, it was Mrs Neo calling from outside the door, without keys.
It's crazy that she works so late.

For me it's the drive of looking forward to a trip that pushes me to work, face all the problems and of course bring in the money.
It works for Mrs Neo as well. Especially if it's a trip to a place she yearns to go.

-cold.

My Goals and Dreams

Today i decided to start a new tag, i will name it "My Goals & Dreams" and then i will start to blog it, simple reason.

I will review myself and look back after years and see if i have done what i want to do and when i did it.

Here's the first!

Bring Mrs Neo to a vacation in Maldives

Goal set on: 25th August 2008
Done Date: Outstanding

Today, 25th August 2008

What a day.

Waking up with a swollen eye, i guess it's a bit of infection. It's swelling so i guess i can't slap on my contact lens. Making do with my specs, i look in the mirror and wonder how i am going to meet people like that.

Actually it's not that bad, honestly. Decent enough. But it's my hair. It don't go well with my specs. Anyway...

I decided not to go out today. No appoinment, just clear off the paperworks.

As usual, it rained and i am glad to be dry and clean in office, typing away.

Then orders started to come in. One small one in the morning, and i though, wow not bad, stay in office and i still get orders (i did not even make a single call). And after lunch, one big one came in, i was like"Wooo.. what's happening today?".

Is this a sign that i should not push too hard?
Relax a bit and orders will come in?

好奇怪.

One Favourite

My favourite shot.

Maybe because my hands were not shaking that much. I took this in 8mpxs(HQ 3264 x 2448), fireworks scene, so that explains the vivid colors and lights of the fireworks and the blurred out backdrop of the tower.

Singapore Fireworks Celebration

Fireworks had always been a childhood fascination for me. My very first time up close with it was when i went to China and fire up some myself.

For no reason would i excuse myself from this year's display, thats for sure. Making my way with Mrs Neo, my Mum and one cutie niece in the drizzling rain, i found a good spot, just across OneRafflesQuay and right behind the NTUC Building. Around 200 to 300 ppl were there, gathered in clusters holding umbrella, waiting.

Now and then i could hear childrens saying "When is it going to start?"

Then at 9.15pm sharp, the first tracer shot up into the air, exploded into a goldish shower, brightening up the night sky. Everyone screamed in excitement (including me, i scream damn loud) and cameras went off like nobody's business (the age of digital imaging, where people take a hundred shot to finally choose one, i did that too).

This spot was not as fantastic as previous years where i laid on the grass patch and watch the fireworks explode above me. But that place had since been developed and no access was granted. Dissapointing to watch from that 500m more away, but yeah, it's still awesome.

I felt like a kid, for that moment, i felt life was beautiful There was a serene feeling of peace and calm among the crazy, voice breaking screams.

Everything had to come to an end of course and i was throw back to reality. While writing this bog entry, i really feel the need to relax, put everything down, disconnect yourself and live life as how it primary should be.

Yeah i am relaxing now, still connected as i punch away while lying down on a soft relaxing chair here in Kenko foot reflexology doing a 2hr session with my mum.

Later i will make my way down to Suntec with Mrs Neo, there a ASA road show there. Maybe we'll end up going to Maldives this December.

Who knows what life have in store for you.

And no.. I am not wasting money.
I am living it the way i want it to be.
I don't seek to be the rich, but i yearn to give my family richness in terms of indefinate happiness (to the best as i can only of course).

Maldives (or whereever), here i come!

Watching the exciting match up for men's table tennis, i saw a familiar logo and code flashing on TV.

I know you so well

Recently had an really open talk with my direct superior.

We chat about our likes and dislikes, how to improve the system in the company, what's lacking and if i will stay.

End of the converstation, she said "I knw you so well, i can read your actions, i knw when to sayang you when you are angry and down" and she goes into a smirk laugh.

Hai... i guess she thinks that i am "brain-washed" already and will sell my soul to the company.
She must have felt great thinking that she made me change my mind to stay.

I feel like telling her that it's all an act of "don't come and bother me, say whatever you want and i will just agree, cause it will not be long attitude."

The new guy

Today came a new person to my "Department", not my team.
I work alone (like a mad dog). The company don't feel the need to employ anyone to help me.

Anyway. I feel he would not click with me.
Just feels wrong. I only spoke to him twice today and his response was so rigid.
Wah kaus, bui tahan. Seems like a no joke boy.

Well, it might be the case that i am just too irritating for him. I admit that i might not be easy to get along, unless i know you well and you know me well.... Then i will go out of my usual way to do things that will "seems right" in your view.

Else, its' i think i'm right and there's no two way around it.

2nd Place

The Beijing Olympics 2008.

After 48years, our table tennis girls made it to the medal standings for the 2nd time is Singapore history. Snatching a silver position from Korea.

The fight for gold was not all that impressive. We tried (not hard enough) and we were defeated by the mighty Chinese. I personally thought they took it too lightly. Contented with the Silver position (that any medal, as long as it's a medal) will do, they seem to play it too easy, making a lot of mistakes.

Well anyway, it was still a sight to see our flags flying on international TV.

Kudos to the girls and i bet they are happy with the medal and the amount of money Singapore is going to give them. Especially the money

In the neighbourhood

In the (new) neighbourhood...

Not having time to be online for a while now and thus no frequent visit to some forums,
finally found time today to surf my http://www.sengkang.com/.

Wah seh.. still buzzling with activity. New neighbours popping up every other day.

As i read on, the photo updates, the discussions on layouts, i came across a unique discussion..
They are starting a "Entertainment Group", they even appointed a IC.
Hahaha..

And guess what's the first kick off, ice-breaking, get to know each other event?
Visit the site and then head off to Jalan Kayu to have prata.

Ahahahah. My neighbours... Looks like i'm in for extreme fun.

Congratulations Terence!

Congratulation Terence!

You are number "n"~!
Seriously i lost count on how many people left my current office. I for one, hopes desperately to move on to a new job.

Terence's my "life mate" here, joining the company 3days after me. We are the same "age", lao jiao.

Due to the many changes that took place. Inevitably, everyone is moving on.
It's just not the same. If you ask me what's wrong. I am unable to pin point on any specific event or happenings.

It's just a collaboration of many tiny events. Just like a avalanche. Small from the start, but it gather enough force in the run to become a destructive force.

Good Luck to you, all the best!
I am sure you will be a happier man.

- get a girlfriend soon ya.

New found logic

Behind every sales, there a person.

This person, will sell an idea, logic, product or service.
He is known as the sales person (That's me).

once the sales is closed, there must be a person who is from the selling side to put himself in the buyers' shoe.
To do that, the "seller" must first take off his shoes and put himself into the buyer's shoe.

He is known as the Business Analyst (That's what i want to be).

High Fidelity

Short termed Hi-Fi, a high-quality audio format used in some VHS machines. A HiFi VCR can provide excellent sound quality.

Suntec City have a lot of it on sale.

Not in those fancy stalls... Those places do not give you the best offer.

It's in the carpark!
They are back. The gimmick van, the "eh brother, i have a hifi set for home use one, extra set, i don't want to bring back to my office, wait my boss scold me. I sell you cheap la, you got use?"

They asked me two times today.
Why do they ask me? Do i look stoopid? I look at myself in the mirror.. Oh ya.. today's tie and shirt don't match. Hai... what to do. Monday blues mah. Don't care about looks.

Must dress nicely and try again some day.

Geng MC

Today was suppose to be the makeover day.
Mrs Neo & myself was suppose to change our hairstyles today, leaving it in the fate of the hairstylist.

Mrs Neo wanted some big curls or wave to get rid of her straight rebonded, yet not so straight hair, and i don't know what i want, but just want to do something different.

Ugly also nevermind i exclaimed!

So we booked the appointment, Mrs Neo will start at 11am and i will join her at 2pm. And we will end around 6pm.

Excited, Mrs Neo took a cab off first at 10.40am.

11.15am, my phone rang. It's my wife!
I was pretty sure she's going to tell me that i can come later cas they will spend more time on her hair. I personally think the 3 hour buffer is not enough for her...

Mr Neo: "Hello..."
Mrs Neo: "He's on MC"
Mr Neo: -_-"
Mrs Neo: "I never leave phone number, so they can't call me"

-_-"

45km East to West

Singapore is never a huge country. No matter how hard we try to reclaim land, it's just a tiny place.

We are just an island.

But the way people here drive is as if they need to take 4hours before they can reach their destinations. Stories of WRX tailgating a Picanto are not un-common. When did a Picanto ever outrun a Rex anyway?! But some people on the road are just unethical.

The way we learn in driving school is never practised here... In Japan, if any driver flicks on this signals, the vehical behinds, will significantly reduce speed and allow the person into his lane. No use of horn, high beam, whatsoever.

In Singapore? Most people do not signal when they want to change lane. Why?
Cas' when you do that and flick that right signal on, the vehical behind 踩油,封路。

他妈的。。。
