I guess a picture says a thousand words.
Planning for our end of the year Thailand/Bangkok trip,

I gladly offered to take some photos of the hotel which i want my family to put up in for my sisters to see.

Here's a little bit on the room, sleeping area.

Nice and spacious, if you need to work on your computer, there's a neat space.

I personally love this day bed

Of course, on the desk, you can have fax service and unlimited wifi internet.
Very Fast too.

A nice warerobe, good space, and a digital safe (Those normal type)

Here's a look at the washroom, i love the bright spacious feel

If you like the tub... or if your kids like the tub...

Or you just want to have a quick shower.... they have it all and it's not cramped!

You get the standard amenities, nicely packed, ensured that it's clean.
The shower foam and shampoo by the way is from a famous spa! World renowned.
I always take it back with me after i check out.. cheapo.

A look at the whole bedroom, with Thai painting nicely displayed.
Menu pillow so you get a good night sleep for sure.

Paid attention to details on floorings as well. No dirty carpets means it's good for family with children. Timber floor is highly maintained and polished. Make you feel good.

Do you really need to wash your own clothes in a hotel?

I did not take pictures of the rest of the hotel to keep it a nice surprise! I love this hotel and i bet the rest of you will too. Ok sis, start saving the money and let's get ready to eat Tom Yum for 5days!

Thinking about it, its true that we should all do whatever we love and live life however we life.

There's only one chance anyway.

Tuk Tuk Adventure

I seriously can't recall when was the last time I took a Tuk Tuk in Thailand.

When I was younger, I took it with my family when we came over to Bangkok, in poly, I took it with my schoolmates on a trip here too.

After that, I either took taxi or I walk (which is what I prefer). Traffic here is bad bad bad, makes no sense to wait in any vehical and pay (ok, I'm stingy) when I can walk there with my long legs, I save the money for shopping!

However, I bravely took one today, from MBK to Platinium. I needed to get there fast, wanted to buy some baby clothes for the boys and also, I wanted to know how much it cost. A step into planning my November/December 2010 whole family outing with my sisters.

So it cost THB100. I didn't bargain. It sounded cheap enough. But I must have been stupid not to bargain.

If I did, I guess it should end up around THB60~80. Which is ~SGD3.

In comparison, if I took a train, it cost me THB20/person. Tuk tuk can take 3 person everytime. And I have to walk 15mins to Platinium.

Tada! Makes sense to take a tuk tuk if its 3 ppl right. No walking at all.

The ride is as always exciting. They never drive in the correct direction - which is why they are fast, an advantage if you ask me.

THB35 to take a cab/tuk tuk from hotel to BigC. But I find it so hard, cas its just 5mins walk away. But need to know as Mum can't walk too far. So it's SGD1.50 for 4ppl. Even cheaper!

So looking forward to the year end trip already!

Sotong Pig

I'm not sure what that means.
But Mrs Neo typed that in her Sms to me this morning.

Departing on a 9.40am flight to Bangkok, i (as usual) woke up late and rush to the airport.
Still in time of course, just a bit more rush and did not do the regular 2hours advance check in.

But it's ok. I sat down, turn on my laptop and started downloading emails.
Woo.. wifi in airport is really speedy. Got all my mails and looked at the time..
9.05am. Still have sometime. I started to work on my mails. Hoping to clear as much as i can.

Not that i am hardworking, but i clear if off now, i have less to do tonight.
Thai Massage maybe? Heehee.

I punch away like nobody's business, replying emails, sorting them into folders and i gave myself 10mins to walk to the gate which is just downstairs. Im departing on gate 8.

9.30am.
I packed up and headed towards the escalator down.
Double checked that i got my passport and ticket. I stared at the ticket and it say "Gate 38"!

Arghhh!!

It's at the end of Terminal 2! 5 steps away from Terminal 1!
Not wanting to miss the flight, i made a frantic walk (No, i did not run. Felt too silly to start running haha). I arrived on time. Last to board.

But my shin is hurting, even now. After the fast walk.

I landed in Bangkok, turned on my phone and got a msg from my partner that he will wait for me at Starbucks. Stepped off the plane, headed towards immigration, reach immigration, turn back and walks towards the plane.

I left my passport in the seat pocket.

What a day man.

The Gardens Hotel & Residence, Mid Valley - Malaysia / Kuala Lumpur - Part 2

This is a second review that i am doing on this hotel.

This time round, i stayed in the Executive Deluxe.

Feels Like: 4*

Wanting to know the real difference of the RM100.
I booked myself the Executive Deluxe room this trip.

The room size, obviously is different. However, you get to check in on Level 29 as well.
There, you get away from the hassle and have a juice while they check you in.

Thumbs up.

I get the same treatment as per previous trip. The same benefits as well.
3 pieces of laundry per day - delivered back to your room on the same day if you send it in before 9am in the morning. Unlimited broadband access via a cable and wifi around the hotel.

You also get cocktail sessions, cookies and free flow of soft drinks in the executive lounge anytime of the day. Exactly the same as the Executive Deluxe King.

So what is the real difference?
For me, it's the room size and bed.

The Executive Deluxe made full use of the space.
Wash room too had rain shower, a bath tub, a separate WC area. However, they cramped the ware robe into the washroom as well.

An advantage actually, but having stayed in the Executive Deluxe King, where they had a walkway into a changing room, this layout pales in comparison.

The bed.
Pillow menu available. But you can't choose the bed right....
It's those hard sturdy type. I'm a side sleeper and i wake up every morning with a very bad back ache. Can't complaint i guess. If i am a back sleeper, i would love the bed.

Subjective.

But for RM100 less.

The Executive Deluxe is the most sensible choice.
The Executive Deluxe/Premier King, maybe if i am on a holiday just to R&R and spend lotsa time in the room lazing around. Else, i would spend the RM100 over at MidValley instead!

Overall i still rate the hotel 8 of 10.

Baby vs Baby

You just should not compare.

Not that anyone is comparing my boys nor am I comparing them with anyone.

But i believe every baby is different and thus a comparison will only put unrequired pressure and stress on the parents and also the baby.

Ok. Enough statement.
